Another postcard featuring SLOW STITCH, but with another pattern. It has been fun deciding how I will stitch each card. Of course some patterns are more effective than others. The Eco leaf images can seen on the soft cotton fabric as if in the background!

This piece reminds me of two things that we have seen in Serbia over the last couple of days of travel. The first relates to the patterns formed in a multitude of small fields, by many small tractors plowing in preparation for the onset of winter. The second is the desecration of the artworks in the Orthodox Studencia Monastery which took the form of and almost regular pattern of small white triangles, presumably chipped out of the murals with a small sharp pick. The desecration was a form of art in its own right, in a strange destructive way, as it added a layer of texture and history to the Monasteries existence.
